How to legally use a second clip of some Brain Bonsall (Alexander Rozhenko Klingon boy) from an episode of Star Trek?
Monty's Corner is preparing a therapeutic activity for children going through treatment against cancer. To show an example of an action particular, we chose an image of an episode of Star Trek, where The Brain Bonsall played the Klingon Rozhenko boy Alexander. We just want show the clip as an example on our website. None of the advertisements in question. We contacted Paramount Pictures, but they are not ready to give us permission use – "No permits issued for non-commercial" and no explanation as to how to use in non-commercial use. What would happen if we cut the game we want from the DVD and publish it? Is there another way to use a few seconds of the episode, not legally in trouble? Thank you in advance to all who responded. PS: This question may be in the wrong category. No categories available seemed to be right.
the only legal way is for you somehow convince key to allow you to use images, it is their film they own the rights to it, and if you use it without your consent risks being sued (if they have discovered that you used it). if you explain why you want to use it, and perhaps offer to pay for their use to bend their rules and allow you to use the few seconds you need.
